Intro to Architectural Design

ARTSVIS 203.01

Introduction to architectural design: space making with emphasis on process, abstraction, and modes of representation. Drawing conventions, orthographic projection, model building, rendering, digital technologies as forms of visual inquiry. Tectonics, space, scale, and material as ensemble parts of project presentations to represent ideas as well as artifacts. Final projects on building program and architectural issues: threshold, view, entry. Instructor consent required. Instructor: Jones
