Lindsey Mazurek has recently been promoted to Associate Professor in the department of Classical Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington. She recently won three fellowships for the 2025-2026 academic year to support her research on her second book manuscript, entitled Portraits Behaving Badly: The Agency of Images in Roman Greece. She spent summer 2025 as a Margo Tytus Summer Fellow at the University of Cincinnati’s John Miller Burnam Classics Library. Through the 2025-2026 academic year, she is a Presidential Arts and Humanities Fellow through Indiana University’s Office of Research. As part of that fellowship, she is organizing a conference in September entitled Facing the Past: New Directions in the Study of Roman Portraiture that will include Sheila Dillon. She will spend Spring 2026 as a Residential Fellow at Harvard’s Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington, DC.
