Mel Chin, an artist based in western North Carolina, whose work is part of the exhibition Spirit in the Land, will deliver the Annual Rothschild Lecture. He was born in Houston and is known for the broad range of approaches in his art, including works that require multi-disciplinary, collaborative teamwork and works that enlist science as an aesthetic component to developing complex ideas. His work is part of the Nasher Museum's collection. Seating is limited. Lecture hall doors open at 5:45 PM. Followed by a reception.
